Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures
- Perform vital sign measurements and patient intake assessments
- Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and patient documentation
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical instruments
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate care transitions
- Process insurance forms and manage billing documentation
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
