Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and clinical procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with HIPAA compliance
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain sterile clinical environments
- Administer medications and injections per physician protocols
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate referrals and communicate with healthcare teams
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- 1+ years clinical experience preferred
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Strong interpersonal and multitasking abilities
- North Carolina state licensure (if applicable)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings
