Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination and assist physicians during medical procedures.
- Collect and prepare lab specimens, including phlebotomy, as required.
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccines under physician supervision.
- Perform routine vital signs, EKGs, and other diagnostic testing.
- Update and maintain accurate patient medical records and charts.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups and appointment scheduling.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
