Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Perform clinical tasks including EKGs, phlebotomy, and wound care
- Manage patient records using EHR systems (Epic/EMR experience preferred)
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment
- Administer medications and injections as directed
- Conduct patient education on treatment plans
- Handle insurance verification and billing documentation
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Diploma or Associate's degree (CMA or RMA certification preferred)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Illinois state medical assistant license
- Experience with electronic health records
