The Role
As a Medical Assistant, you will be the bridge between our patients and our healthcare providers, ensuring a smooth and positive clinical experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during procedures.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer medications as directed, and draw blood for analysis.
- Manage patient flow, scheduling appointments, and updating medical records in our EHR system.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized examination environment.
- Provide patient education on preventative care and medication instructions.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA, or equivalent) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a primary care or outpatient setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict HIPAA guidelines.
