Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with history taking and vitals.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, EKGs, and point-of-care testing as directed.
- Administer medications and injections under the supervision of a licensed provider.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record system.
- Manage the front desk flow, including scheduling appointments and checking patients in.
- Provide patient education regarding treatment plans and health maintenance.
- Assist with minor procedures and wound care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician practice or clinic setting.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.
