Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by reviewing medical history and asking pertinent questions.
- Assist the healthcare provider during examinations by passing instruments and materials.
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab work (phlebotomy).
- Manage patient records and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring cleanliness and sterility.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and manage prescription refills.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
