Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures
- Perform patient intake, vital sign measurement, and EKGs
- Prepare and administer medications under physician supervision
- Manage patient records and electronic health documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and exam room preparation
- Process insurance forms and handle billing inquiries
- Maintain sterile clinical environments and equipment
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- New York State medical assistant license
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including some weekends
