Responsibilities

  • Perform patient vitals, medical history reviews, and prepare patients for examinations.
  • Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Administer injections and medications as directed by physicians and per protocol.
  • Manage patient records, including updating Electronic Health Records (EHR) accurately and confidentially.
  • Schedule appointments, process lab orders, and handle front desk reception duties as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized examination room environment.
  • Handle patient inquiries with empathy and provide clear instructions for home care.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or ambulatory setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy/physiology.
