Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and check them in for their appointments.
- Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and weight.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical instruments and sterilized equipment.
- Assist providers during patient examinations and procedures, anticipating their needs.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood draws, urine analysis, and EKGs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA, RMA, NCMA certification preferred).
- CPR/BLS Certification required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Strong proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and computer systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs when assisting patients.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to patient confidentiality.
