Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and wound care
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Accurately document patient information in EMR systems
- Manage inventory and sterilize medical equipment
- Coordinate patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Assist with front desk duties including scheduling and billing
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic or Athena preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic EKG and phlebotomy skills required
- Valid CPR certification
