Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims to insurance carriers using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service delivery
- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies through systematic follow-up
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulations
- Generate monthly reports on billing performance and AR aging
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure documentation accuracy
- Utilize Epic EHR and medical billing software for daily operations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Proficiency in medical coding and billing software (Epic, Medisoft)
