Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims to insurance companies using ICD-10 and CPT codes
- Review and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments
- Maintain patient account balances and follow up on outstanding payments
- Communicate effectively with patients, insurance providers, and healthcare teams
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and billing standards
- Utilize EHR systems and billing software for efficient processing
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in medical billing, healthcare administration, or related field
- 2+ years of medical billing experience with insurance claim submission
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance policies
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
