Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance carriers and government payers
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits before service delivery
- Resolve claim denials and rejections through appeals and follow-up
- Post payments and adjustments accurately in EHR systems
- Conduct regular audits for compliance with HIPAA and coding guidelines
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding billing inquiries
- Generate monthly reports on A/R and denial trends
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a US healthcare setting
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Expert knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance policies
- Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and billing software
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage high-volume workloads with competing priorities
