Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance payers and government programs
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service delivery
- Appeal denied claims with compelling documentation
- Conduct regular account receivables analysis
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all billing operations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certification (CPC, CCS-P, or equivalent) strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems
- Deep understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong communication abilities for patient/provider interactions
- Experience with electronic claims submission (EDI)
