Responsibilities
- Accurately process and submit medical claims to insurance providers
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Utilize provided EHR/billing systems for daily operations
- Communicate effectively with patients and insurance carriers
- Analyze aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience
- Certification in medical coding (CPC or CCS preferred)
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Experience with provided billing software (Epic, Medisoft, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently in a remote-friendly environment
