Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS systems
- Manage accounts receivable and resolve claim denials within 30-day SLA
- Conduct insurance verification and pre-authorization procedures
- Generate monthly reports on billing performance metrics
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient financial records
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure charge capture accuracy
- Stay current with CMS and payer regulation updates
Qualifications
- 3+ years medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Advanced knowledge of CCI edits and NCCI edits
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with flexible scheduling
