Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims to insurance companies using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility for services
- Manage denial resolution and appeals processes
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and billing standards
- Generate regular reports on billing performance and accounts receivable
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve billing discrepancies
- Utilize Epic or EHR systems for documentation and tracking
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
