Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance providers with 99% accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service delivery
- Resolve claim denials and appeals within established SLAs
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and insurance regulations
- Conduct regular audits of billing codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document chargeable services
- Generate monthly revenue cycle reports for financial review
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in outpatient settings
- Certification (CPC, COC, or CCS-P) required
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems
- Expert knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid/Blue Cross guidelines
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Health Administration or related field preferred
