Responsibilities
- Verify and process patient insurance claims accurately and efficiently.
- Review medical records and assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-10 and CPT).
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claims denials and issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient billing records and documentation.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports.
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) software to input billing data.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Healthcare Administration is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliable internet connection and computer access for training purposes.
