Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance carriers and government payers
- Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and pre-authorizations
- Resolve claim denials and manage appeals processes
- Conduct thorough account receivable follow-up and collections
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Collaborate with clinical staff to document charges accurately
- Generate monthly reports on denial trends and revenue metrics
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expertise in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Proficiency with Epic, eClinicalWorks, or similar EHR systems
- Strong analytical skills for complex claim resolution
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
