Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits coverage
- Appeal denied claims with supporting documentation
- Conduct regular claim audits and identify billing discrepancies
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with providers to resolve billing issues
- Generate monthly reports on key performance indicators
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience
- Certification (CPC, COC, or CIC) preferred
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Expert knowledge of CPT/HCPCS codes and ICD-10
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Experience with Medicare/Medicaid billing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
