Responsibilities
- Accurately code medical procedures using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS standards
- Submit clean claims to insurance payers and follow up on outstanding accounts
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through effective communication
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and billing policies
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation accuracy
- Generate monthly billing reports for financial analysis
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in Epic or similar EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
