Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate insurance claims using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service delivery
- Manage denial resolution and appeals with insurance companies
- Maintain detailed patient billing records in compliance with HIPAA
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure charge accuracy
- Generate monthly revenue reports for financial analysis
- Stay updated on healthcare billing regulations and payer policies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Proficiency with medical billing software (Epic or eClinicalWorks a plus)
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes and reimbursement rules
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
