Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patients across multiple payers
- Resolve claim denials and appeals with 95%+ accuracy rate
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and CMS regulations
- Collaborate with clinical staff to document services accurately
- Generate monthly revenue cycle reports for leadership review
- Train new billers on our Epic EHR system workflows
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in physician or hospital settings
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expert knowledge of insurance claim processes and billing software
- Strong analytical skills for complex claim resolution
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to manage high-volume claim deadlines
- Exceptional communication skills for patient and payer interactions
