Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies with 95%+ accuracy
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits coverage
- Resolve billing discrepancies through direct communication with providers/patients
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulations
- Generate monthly reports on billing performance and AR metrics
- Collaborate with coding team to ensure proper CPT/ICD-10 assignment
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in ambulatory care settings
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential preferred
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems
- Advanced knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding guidelines
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency strongly preferred
