Your Role:
As a Medical Biller, you will be the bridge between healthcare providers and insurance companies, ensuring accurate claim submissions and timely reimbursement. You will utilize cutting-edge technology to streamline the billing process and improve patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Review medical records and accurately assign ICD-10 and CPT codes for billing purposes.
- Prepare and submit claims to various insurance carriers (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial) via electronic and paper methods.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid or denied claims.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to rendering services.
- Work with the billing team to resolve complex coding or payer issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations and coding updates.
Qualifications
- CPC, COC, or CCS certification preferred (Associate degree in Medical Billing/Coding required).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management.
- Proficient in EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth, Cerner).
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
