Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance payers (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial plans)
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service rendering
- Resolve billing discrepancies through effective denial management
- Maintain accurate patient accounts and documentation in EHR systems
- Conduct regular account receivables analysis and follow-up
- Stay updated on coding guidelines (ICD-10, CPT) and regulatory changes
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure charge accuracy
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in outpatient setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential preferred
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail with 95%+ accuracy rate
- Ability to work independently with flexible scheduling needs
