Responsibilities
- Accurately process medical claims and patient billing using Epic EMR systems
- Verify insurance coverage and resolve claim denials within 30-day SLA
- Conduct coding compliance audits for CPT/ICD-10 procedures
- Manage patient payment plans and accounts receivable follow-up
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation accuracy
- Generate monthly revenue cycle reports for department heads
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient billing records
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial insurance
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Proficiency in Epic EMR and claims management software
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and billing compliance regulations
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field
