Responsibilities
- Greet and Welcome Patients: Provide a warm, professional, and friendly welcome to all visitors and patients entering the facility.
- Manage Patient Intake: Accurately collect patient information, verify insurance details, and update medical records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Schedule Appointments: Coordinate and manage patient appointments, including rescheduling cancellations, to maximize clinic efficiency.
- Front Desk Operations: Answer incoming calls with a positive tone, screen calls, and route them to the appropriate medical staff.
- Handle Payments: Process co-pays, deductibles, and insurance payments accurately using our point-of-sale system.
- Inventory Management: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area, waiting room, and front desk supplies.
- Administrative Support: Assist with mailings, filing, and other general office duties as needed to support the administrative staff.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED: Minimum educational requirement.
- Previous Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a medical front desk or administrative role is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Medical Terminology: Basic understanding of medical terminology and insurance procedures is highly desirable.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Computer Proficiency: Must be comfortable navigating computer systems, including EMR/EHR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Professionalism: Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
