Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or changes in condition.
- Document patient care plans and progress accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Respond to emergencies and assist with code blue situations as trained.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia.
- Recent graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
