Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough patient health assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Care Delivery: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and hospital standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documenting patient progress, symptoms, and interventions.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical staff to ensure continuity of care and patient understanding.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergent situations, utilizing critical thinking skills to manage patient needs effectively.
- Education: Educate patients and families on disease processes, medication management, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing School (BSN preferred, ADN accepted).
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and professional composure.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift patients, and perform physical tasks as required by the nursing role.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in navigating electronic medical record systems.
