Responsibilities
- Monitor patients' health status, vital signs, and reports any changes to the licensed nurse immediately.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Ensure the safety and cleanliness of patient rooms and common areas at all times.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the nursing staff.
- Document patient care activities, intake and output, and changes in patient condition accurately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
Qualifications
- Current, valid State of Wisconsin CNA Certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting preferred.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during night shift hours.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to patient dignity and respect.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull patients as required.
