Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to patients including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient conditions, and report changes to nursing staff
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and repositioning to ensure patient safety
- Perform routine environmental duties to maintain clean and organized patient rooms
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care plans
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation standards
Qualifications
- Valid New York State CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year acute care or long-term experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association)
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Pass background check and pre-employment health screening
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
