Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, feeding, positioning, and mobility assistance
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
- Assist with patient documentation and maintain accurate medical records
- Support patients with activities of daily living while preserving dignity
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans
- Respond to emergency situations following hospital protocols
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment
Qualifications
- Active Texas CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year hospital-based CNA experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs during night shift
- Commitment to maintaining strict HIPAA compliance
