Our night shift team operates from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, providing critical support during high-acuity patient encounters. You'll work alongside board-certified physicians and specialized nursing staff in a collaborative setting that values professional growth and work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with examinations and procedures, including EKGs, injections, and wound care
- Perform patient intake assessments, vital sign monitoring, and EHR documentation
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, medical supplies, and sterile instruments
- Coordinate laboratory specimens and diagnostic imaging requests
- Manage patient flow and triage during overnight emergency department surge
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication protocols
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current New York State Medical Assistant certification or CMA/RMA credential
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification with ACLS preferred
- Proficiency in Epic EHR system and medical software applications
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours
- Strong triage and emergency response skills
- Exceptional communication skills and cultural sensitivity
