Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures in emergency/urgent care settings
- Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and manage inventory of medical supplies
- Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively with night-shift clinical teams
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism and adherence to protocols
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in fast-paced healthcare environment
- Valid BLS/CPR certification and Washington DC medical assistant license
- Proficiency in venipuncture, EKG, and basic lab procedures
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to work independently during night shifts
- Experience with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours and lift up to 25 lbs
