Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in emergency, critical care, or general medical units during overnight shifts
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress with precision
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Respond to emergency situations using advanced life support protocols
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital safety regulations
- Mentor new staff and maintain accurate electronic health records
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina RN license (or compact license)
- BSN degree preferred; Associate's degree with experience considered
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
