Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across diverse medical units during evening shifts
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions with precision and compassion
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient assessments and progress using our advanced electronic health record system
- Maintain patient safety protocols and respond promptly to emergency situations
- Mentor junior staff and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience in medical/surgical or critical care
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication abilities for patient/family interactions
- Flexibility to adapt to dynamic night shift schedules
