Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain strict adherence to all safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Verify patient information and accurately prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
- Manage patient flow efficiently and provide a reassuring presence during procedures.
- Organize and maintain a clean, sterile work environment and inventory of supplies.
- Document all collection procedures and results accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
