Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light meal preparation according to dietary restrictions.
- Provide medication reminders and help maintain daily schedules.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and errands to ensure a safe living environment.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, social events, or community outings.
- Document daily care activities and communicate any changes in client health to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or PCA (Personal Care Assistant) certification is a plus but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine, patient demeanor.
