Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Help clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Provide gentle reminders and assist with medication administration as directed.
- Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations, play games, and accompany clients on walks or appointments to reduce isolation.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious and appetizing meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for your clients.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, social outings, or grocery shopping.
- Communication: Keep families informed about their loved one's daily activities and any changes in condition.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience as a CNA, HHA, or Home Care Aide is preferred but not always required.
- Training: Current CPR and First Aid certification is a plus (training available).
- Compassion: Genuine passion for helping the elderly and those with disabilities.
- Reliability: A dependable and punctual work ethic with a focus on safety.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Driver's License: Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are preferred.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
