Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to patients including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Document patient observations and care activities accurately
- Maintain clean, safe patient environments following infection control protocols
- Support emotional well-being through patient interaction and companionship
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient needs
Qualifications
- Active NYS Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in long-term care or acute care setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Passion for patient-centered care and cultural sensitivity
