Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to established protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Document patient care information accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infections and accidents.
- Support the nursing staff in preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Florida CNA license required.
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association) is mandatory.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods.
