Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming in a respectful manner.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Hygiene Support: Ensure patients remain clean, comfortable, and well-groomed throughout the shift.
- Communication: Report any changes in patient condition or concerns immediately to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse.
- Assistance with Mobility: Safely transfer and move patients using proper techniques and equipment.
- Documenting Care: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and care logs.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, unencumbered Tennessee CNA license required.
- Training: Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is a plus but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Genuine passion for helping others and a patient-first attitude.
