Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, food intake, and physical conditions
- Administer medications under RN supervision as per facility protocols
- Transport residents to medical appointments and therapy sessions
- Maintain clean, safe resident environments and assist with housekeeping duties
- Document care accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare team
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents and families
Qualifications
- Current Illinois CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 6 months recent CNA experience in long-term care setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate approach with commitment to resident dignity
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Pass background check and pre-employment health screening
