Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature.
- Mobility Assistance: Safely assist patients with transfers, walking, and using mobility aids (walkers, wheelchairs).
- Hygiene & Nutrition: Maintain patient hygiene and assist with meal preparation and feeding according to dietary restrictions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and concerns.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, active CNA Certification (CNA I or CNA II) in the State of New Mexico.
- CPR/BLS: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks as needed.
