Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist chair-side during examinations and treatments, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and dental materials according to strict infection control protocols.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and process diagnostic images as required.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
  • Maintain patient records, including updating medical histories and treatment plans in our digital system.
  • Manage inventory of dental supplies and order necessary materials to ensure clinic readiness.
  • Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out procedures to ensure a positive first and last impression.

Qualifications

  • Current Dental Assistant certification (RDA) or graduation from an accredited dental assisting program.
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Certification in Coronal Polishing and Radiography is highly desired.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanor.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification is mandatory.
  • Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
