Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chair-side during examinations and treatments, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and dental materials according to strict infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and process diagnostic images as required.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain patient records, including updating medical histories and treatment plans in our digital system.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order necessary materials to ensure clinic readiness.
- Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out procedures to ensure a positive first and last impression.
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (RDA) or graduation from an accredited dental assisting program.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Certification in Coronal Polishing and Radiography is highly desired.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanor.
- Current CPR/BLS certification is mandatory.
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
