Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage patient scheduling and documentation using Dentrix software
- Provide post-operative instructions and chairside support
- Inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and sterilization protocols
- Excellent patient communication and chairside manner
- Knowledge of OSHA and dental office safety standards
- Ability to work 3-4 days/week (20-32 hours)
- CPR/BLS certification required
