Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage patient records and digital charting systems
- Provide chairside assistance with suction and instrument transfer
- Deliver post-operative care instructions and infection control protocols
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain sterile operatory environments
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or Texas State Board)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and infection control standards
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish
- CPR certification (current or obtainable within 30 days)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including some evenings/weekends
